THEORY COURSE
There are 3 levels to the theory course that we offer.
Level 1: Grade 1 - 5
Level 2: Grade 6 - 8
Level 3: Diploma
All levels (except Diploma) may be taught on individual or group basis, depending on availability.
Level 1: Grade 1-5
Individual: Lesson duration is 45 minutes. Syllabus to be covered include all grades up to Grade 5. Once Grade 5 topics have been covered, students may bypass other lower grades exam to take the Grade 5 theory exam. Students who take practical lessons in our school will receive instructions in theory within their practical lessons' time, up to Grade 5 theory.
Group: Lesson duration is 1 hour. Syllabus to be covered include all relevant topics up to Grade 5.
LEVEL 2: Grade 6-8
Individual: Lesson duration is 45 minutes. Syllabus to be covered include all grades from Grade 6 to Grade 8. Only Grade 8 theory exam will be taken at the end of the course. However, we will allow students to take Grade 6 theory and/or Grade 7 theory exams should they wish to do so. Students taking practical course in our school may opt to have their practical lessons extended by half an hour to cover theory in the practical lesson, for convenience.
Group: Lesson duration is 1 hour. Syllabus to be covered include all relevant topics up to Grade 8.

LEVEL 3: DIPLOMA THEORY
Only Group Theory available. At this moment, there are mainly 2 examining boards offering theory at diploma level. They are the London College of Music and the Trinity Guildhall Examination Board. This course will be conducted depending on demand and is not ongoing. If you would like to pursue this course, please express your interest by emailing us, and when the numbers are sufficient, we will inform you of the commencement date.
